================================================================================SMB1/SMB2J Patch===========================================================================================
===========================================================================================================================================================================================

About:
=====

This is the very first game that I worked on when I first became a hacker. I started this project back in December of 2011 and I have recently finished it! (July 2013)

As a fan of SMB2J, I have always wanted to play SMB1 with the updated graphics. This is what encouraged me to learn some 6502 ASM. I have included the updated SMB1 on Side A,
and SMB2J with various bug fixes on Side B.

Changes:
=======

                                                                           Side A: SMB1
																		   ------------

- Changed all graphics to match SMB2J (World 4-3 mushroom platforms taken from ANNSMB)
- Fixed World -1
- Imported skid sound from SMB2J
- Added Castle timer routine from SMB2J
- Added Mario physics from SMB2J (both Mario and Luigi share Mario's physics data in SMB1)
- Fixed various color palettes, including giving Cheep-Cheeps their proper underwater green palette, as found in SMAS
- UPDATE 8/15/13 Added a brick at the end of water areas next to the pipe to prevent Mario/Luigi from getting stuck in the wall (Fix taken from the Super Mario Allstars edition
of Super Mario Bros.
- UPDATE 8/15/13 Gave underground green enemies a mountain-green palette. Now matches the Allstars version more accurately
- UPDATE 8/15/13 Further optimized the .pal file

                                                                         Side B: SMB2J
																		 -------------

I have included SMB2J on Side B of the disk. It would work the same way as if you were to flip a disk on actual hardware. If you are having trouble figuring out how to get
Side B to work on your emulator, then please e-mail me (see below).

- Fixed the glitch where you get a Game Over if you get more than 127 Lives.
- Fixed the Castle wall inconsistencies on some X-3 stages (the end-of-stage Castle)
- Added skid sound during Deadly Wind gusts, as found in SMAS
- Fixed World A-1's Pipes to match the SMAS version
- Added hammers to Bowser's routine in Worlds A-D, as found in SMAS
- Fixed various color palettes, including giving Cheep-Cheeps their proper underwater green palette, as found in SMAS
- Fixed the Coin on the status bar to not glitch, like it did in the original SMB2J
- UPDATE 8/15/13 Gave underground green enemies a mountain green palette. Now matches the Allstars version more accurately
- UPDATE 8/15/13 Further optimized the .pal file

Patching Information:
====================

This is a standard IPS patch. Patch it to a headered FDS ROM named: Super Mario Bros. (1985)(Nintendo)(J).fds, of the No-Intro set.

Custom Palette File:
===================

In addition, I have also included a custom palette file, which I HIGHLY recommend that you use for optimized in-game colors. If you need help installing the .pal file to your emulator,
then please feel free to e-mail me.
